We stand when we're called and we do as we're asked,
Though we never receive a command,
For God gave us free will to march with his army,
Against that rebellious band,
With faith in our hearts and the armour of God,
Let our pennants declare who we are,
As the drum beats resound and our feet strike the ground,
Letting them know, we come from afar.
It is in the vanguard that you will all find me,
As I raise God's standard up high,
To right and to left of me, banners unfurling,
Only one word is our battle cry,
That word, it is Jesus, our Lord and Redeemer,
Who died, so that we could be free,
Through his blood, salvation to all mankind offered,
Accept and you'll have victory.
Before us they waver, as we praise our Saviour,
Satan's army in disarray,
From sin we repented through love of our Jesus,
Now his love will carry the day,
With bugles resounding, our drum beats are pounding,
Our swords and our shields gleaming bright,
We take up the challenge and march boldly forward,
And Satan's host, we put to flight.
Though we have a victory, there's no celebration,
One battle, a war does not win,
So as we march onwards, we must stick together,
For Satan will tempt us to sin,
But we can reject all that he has to offer,
As faith in our Lord keeps us strong,
So our victory, will be entering heaven,
With Jesus, to whom we belong.
